Great Turn Out at the Halloween Hayride, 2015
Our annual Halloween Ride was held on Sat. 10/24/2015 from 5:00 pm. till 9:00 pm. at Leonard Park.
The weather was a bit cool, cloudy and some wind, but that didn’t stop bringing out our largest crowd ever.
We handed out 300 free pumpkins to children 10 and under.
The children also enjoyed coloring and designing their own candy bags, getting their faces painted by wonderful volunteers Jessica Johnson and Emily Boyer, costume contest and were treated to lots of candy and a bon fire. The Tekno Bubble Bus was on hand again this year to entertain the crowd with their black light bubble show and was a BIG HIT!
We served 640 hotdogs, 360 hamburgers, juices, water, and chips. The hayrides carried an estimated 1150 riders during the evening. Each ride took about 25 people at a time for a 20 minute ride along the top of the levee and back up the street to the park.
The outdoor movie was Hocus Pocus. Families sat together on hay bales and watched the movie. Lots of children as well as adults had a fun time sporting their costumes this year too.
The park and playground was fille the entire evening with everyone having a wonderful time.
