City of Manchester: Dougherty Ferry Road - Roadway Improvements Project

Road

Construction on Dougherty Ferry Road between Charleston Place Court and Country Stone Drive is now underway and will take approximately 150 calendar days to complete. During the construction of this project, motorists will not be able to access Route 141 from Big Bend Road. This portion of Dougherty Ferry Road should only be used by local traffic and alternative routes should be taken by others. The scope of the project includes 1550 feet of asphalt street reconstruction, new drainage systems, new concrete curb and gutter, new sidewalks, and ADA compliant curb ramps. Funding for this project was obtained from the St. Louis Metropolitan Area Transportation Improvement Program to receive 80% Federal reimbursement with the additional 20% of the project costs being paid for by through the City’s Capital Improvement Fund.

If you have any questions about the project, feel free to contact the Department of Public Works at 636-227-1385 extension 154 or 168.
