HELP WANTED PART TIME SEASONAL PARKS / GROUNDS MAINTENANCE WORKER

The City of Valley Park is accepting applications for four part-time seasonal parks / grounds maintenance workers.

The selected applicants will be expected to perform miscellaneous grounds maintenance functions including litter removal, landscaping, minor tree trimming, planting, mowing, grass trimming, and weed control. The employees may perform maintenance on all park facilities including playgrounds, pavilions, restrooms, jogging/walking trails, and picnic areas and may also perform maintenance on City-owned park buildings and structures including trash removal, general painting, and minor carpentry.

If necessary, the selected applicants may be assigned to assist the Street Department with concrete and asphalt repairs and may be asked to respond to flooding or other emergencies. The list of duties included in this job posting is not to be deemed exhaustive and selected candidates will be required to perform other duties as assigned.

The selected candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of hire and have a valid Missouri driver’s license. Any presented job offer will be contingent upon the selected candidate’s ability to pass a background check and drug test. The selected candidates will be expected to work from mid-April through mid-October.
